Preview of Spring and Summer: Roadside Wildflowers
Sunday February 28 @ 4:00 at Crossroads
Wildflowers of all types were photographed while bicycling the county and town roads of the peninsula during spring, summer and fall of one year. The resulting slide show demonstrates the visual attractiveness of the roadsides. The great variety of vegetation serves as resource for pollinators. The roadsides are corridors for insects, birds and mammals that have to travel in search for food, mates or suitable climate.
Peter Sigmann will do the presentation and invite discussion, especially concerning ways to properly care for the roadside vegetation.
Bring family and friends. This will be a good change of scenery at this time of the year.
